WHO AM I?
My name is Richard Ian Shortland I am a solid plasterer currently working in Northern Ireland, Co.Armagh and the Co.Down areas. I have been established for 15 years and plastering for 25 years with a NVQ level 3 in solid plastering. I have been introduced to the construction industry by my father who was a reputable builder in the Co.Down area. I would take on old restoration and repair work. I enjoy what I do and take great pride on my finished projects.

Shortland plastering did an excellent job at replastering a house which had been rewired and had walls tracked etc. Richard is quite a perfectionist and would rather not do a job unless it is done well. This is good news for the customer. The finish on plastering is very important and I was well warned by my builder to go for a good plasterer. It seems I made the right choice. Shortland was not the cheapest quote I had, but was well worth the small extra cost!

Richard is without doubt the best plasterer I've ever used - and I've used a good few. He is highly skilled, clean and genuinely interested in doing the best job he can. Furthermore, his prices are more than reasonable. I'm in the final stages of renovating a house at the moment and I've found it so, so difficult to get a good trademan. I got Richard in to fix the mess another plasterer left. I only wish I'd know about him at the beginning of this project. It would've made things a lot simpler.
